The Annual Aurora Fossil Festival brings history to life with fossil digs, exhibits, and a classic parade. Bring the whole family. As part of the festivities, the Aurora Fossil Museum will be hosting a display of fossils and minerals in the Aurora Community Center on 3rd Street from 9-3pm. These include items from numerous clubs and museums from the eastern United States.
Beginning at 3pm behind the Learning Center on 4th Street in downtown Aurora there will be an auction of wonderful items from around the world including fossils, minerals, books and handcrafted sculptures. These items are on display in the Aurora Fossil Museum from April 1st thru May 26th and include megalodon shark's teeth from Aurora. All proceeds benefit the non-profit Aurora Fossil Museum. The Aurora Fossil Museum will be hosting 3 speakers in the Mine Room of the Main Building on Saturday, May 29th during the Fossil Festival with an auction behind the Learning Center beginning at 3:00pm containing items from around the world and close to home.
